About Us

Fisher Youth FC was founded in 2017, following Fisher FC’s return to our Bermondsey home.  We are first and foremost a community club.  Our overriding aim is to provide a fun and safe environment that encourages young players to develop to the best of their ability and offers them the opportunity for regular, competitive football.

We started with two teams at U7 and U8 and nothing makes us prouder than the fact that many of the boys who helped launch the club still wear Fisher’s famous black and white stripes each weekend. For the 25/26 season we have teams competing at Under 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16.  Our ultimate aim is to hopefully regularly produce young players capable of making the transition to the senior club.

We are an England Football Accredited club.  The club’s coaching is led by former Fisher Athletic player Chris Hiscock, a UEFA A Licence qualified coach who holds a Diploma in Advanced Coaching Methods and a Diploma in Youth Development and he is supported by a team of coaches responsible for each of the age group teams.  Our younger teams compete in the South East London & Kent Youth Football League (SELKent) and older sides compete in the Kent Youth League, and we train at Fisher’s home ground, St Paul’s Sports Ground in Rotherhithe.  For the 25/26 season, our under 14, 15 and 16 sides home ground will be St Paul’s. The rest of our teams will play their home fixtures at the London Marathon Playing Fields in Kidbrooke.

In addition, the club runs a Saturday morning football school at St Paul’s for 4/5 year olds to help them learn the basics of the game before stepping up to mini-football.
